Material Characteristics
The welded material is highly resistant to wear, produces martensite/bainite, and contains initial carbides in the overlay material; the material is extremely wear-resistant when abrasive stresses are applied.
1.Microstructure: Iron-based molybdenum-containing, high-carbon, high-chromium wear-resistant alloys;Alloy Type:C-Cr-Mo-Fe2.Processing performance: only support sanding     
3.Cutting performance: does not support flame cutting4.Surfacing thickness: supports multi-layer surfacing,Overlay thicknesses of 20-50 mm


Applications
Extremely suitable for hardfacing parts subjected to a high degree of abrasion and moderate impact, such as cement vertical mill rolls, grinding discs, extrusion rolls, shields, propellers (ware), sieve plates, mixer knife edges (blades), buckets, sieve plates, sand planers, and the top of dredging teeth surface layer and repair. Application temperature does not exceed 500℃.

Welding Precautions

1. When using RD-158 wire, do not use inert gas, and take care to control the current and voltage according to the recommended overlay welding parameters.


2. The overlay layer will have normal fine stress relief cracks, which will help to prevent the occurrence of large-scale spalling of the overlay layer.


3. Before surfacing, please pay attention to removing ash, oil, rust and corrosion in the area to be welded.


4. Oscillating and linear welding are available, can be overlaid with multiple layers, the performance of the alloy layer is related to the dilution rate of the overlaid welding.


5. Preheating can reduce stress cracks.
